Exhibitions

Every June for 4 weeks, the Lillie Art Gallery hosts the Milngavie Art Club's Annual Exhibition
where most of the items are for sale. The general public is very welcome. There is no entry charge.

The Annual Exhibition 2018

The ANNUAL EXHIBITION ran from Saturday 2nd June to Thursday 28th June (inclusive).
Open Tues to Sat, 10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm.   (Closed Sun & Mon)
On selected days, club members gave 'Artist in Residence' demonstrations.

The 2018 winners for the three prizes awarded by the club were:
   'Centenary Award' - Pauline Muir for "The Lookout".
   'The Milngavie Art Club Award' - Gillian McVitie for "Light Movement".
   'The Flora Wood Award' - Jane Whyte for "Frida".

   'The Millennium Quaich' - Roy Burdon for "Summer Isles".
   'The Milngavie Art Club Award' : 'Contemporary Style' -
     Susan Lavrie for "Autumn Loch".
   'The Flora Wood Award' - Claudia Watt for "Perception/Impression".

   Heather Logan for "Royal Exchange Square".

The 2015 winners for the three prizes awarded by the club were:
'The Millennium Quaich' - Roy Burdon for "Waternish - Skye".
'The Milngavie Art Club Award' - Moira Revie for "S'now a night tae be oot!".
'The Flora Wood Award' - Louise Dorian for "The Summer Stillness - Port Ellen Islay".

The Annual Exhibition 2014
Where members of ' The Milngavie Art Club' gave demonstrations
of drawing, print-making, silk-painting and watercolour techniques.

The 2014 winners for the three prizes awarded by the club were:
'The Millennium Quaich' - Aileen Forsyth for "Colzium Park".
'The Milngavie Art Club Award' - Gillian Kingslake for "Shank's Pony".
'The Flora Wood Award' - Innes Michie for "Dance".

The voting for the prizes was during the preview. Everyone present could vote for the 'Flora Wood Award'. It was established by the late artist, a highly respected member of Milngavie Art Club.
Only members of the Art Club voted for the 'Milngavie Art Club Award', which focuses on some interesting feature of Milngavie. For 2013-2014, this was: "Transport in Milngavie".
The Millennium Quaich, another prestigious annual award, was judged this year by Gareth Reid, the professional artist.

In addition, on Saturday, 1st November, 2014, there was 'One-Day Exhibition and Sale', 10:00 am - 4:00 pm in the Court Room, Milngavie Town Hall, Station Road, where members will display and sell their work.
